Get a 20-inch LCD in your ride is an easy does it these days. What more for an iPod with all those docks equipped in every seda, crossover, SUV or even trucks? With all of the iPad hype during its release lately, Soundman Auto made it a point that it is going to be the first customization firm to install into a car. In the installation video whose Toyota Corolla owned by Doug Bernards, the process involves an MCC406M amplifier and a special iPod dock for the digital signal to be pulled from the iPad and distributed to the Audison BitOne processor via optical output. But according to Topspeed, it has concerns over safety issues. After all, tinkering over an iPad is one big major distraction during driving. Watch the video here.

Just like the Land Cruiser and the FJ, the next-generation Toyota 4Runner will also be in the thick of the off-road performance fray. And from the looks of it, the 4Runner will deliver the goods. Scheduled for Septembe 24 release, Autoblog has hi-def body on frame images of of the much-anticipated SUV.
This mid-sizer will sport a more boxy, rugged jaw-faced look that will reflect what it can do on rough terrain. Though it won’t shell out a V8 engine anymore, the 4Runner will don a 161-hp 4-cylinder and 268-hp six cylinder variant. Other details will be divulged come two weeks on its unveiling. And the Japanese auto maker says it will be significantly improved this time. Stay tuned!
