Abandoned Supercars Found in the Wild

supercar_rot

What?! You must be kidding. Ferraris and Benzes left rotting in a barn? This surely is NSFW for the faint-hearted supercar junkies. I’ve scrolled through this post by Acidcow, and I was left dumbfounded with a heavy heart seeing those poor roadsters rusting in obscurity. A least a hundred of these most prized possessions are found all over the world. Well, I guess there are some things that are meant to be left for dead. How I wish luck is in my hands and win that power lotto and spend millions of dollars restoring these poor babies.

“Auntie” Having Difficulty Parking Lexus RX300

“Auntie” Having Difficulty Parking Lexus RX300

lexusrx300_park

You can’t help but understand the elderly having difficulty parking bigger cars like an SUV. But based on the video, I couldn’t help but laugh my ass off with hilarity with the thick-accent, asian-sounding guy in the background. He was ranting on how slow her auntie parking her Lexus RX300 in the parking lot. Not to mention the long queue waiting for her to finish her stuff. Wtach the fun here in this Youtube clip.

Sanonti Shoes for Mercedes Benz are for Cocktails, Too!

Sanonti Shoes for Mercedes Benz are for Cocktails, Too!

santoni_mb_shoes

I don’t know about you, but this leather piece of pure craftsmanship is the sleekest, makes you order a teasponful of caviar on a fine dining with your significant other. Santoni’s reputation as a premier Italian clothier throughout the years has caught the fancy of F1 team Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG the former provided them with FIA- certified driving shoes.

The shoes have just come out of the Pitti Uomo 77 boutique in Milan, perfect complement to the supercar as the variants are available for fans and buyers alike in black for now. Other colors will follow suit. I wonder if they would also provide shoes for Benetton, as it dons a variety of lively colors.

Nat Geo Lists Driving Roads to Die For

Nat Geo Lists Driving Roads to Die For

great_pacific_coast_hiway

I love subscribing to Autoblog. It is really the info source for anything automotive. Bar none. But how I wish they would churn out some articles about road tripping aside from the road trekking performance of the Ford F150 SVT Raptor.  And my wish has somehow been granted as they featured National Geographic’s favorite road destinations around the world.

Browsing through the page, I observed that most of the destinations come form the States, while the others—well—from the other parts of the world. Form New York’s Hudson River Valley to the Dalton Highway in Alaska, up to the far reaches of Jamaica’s Pirate until and North Island in New Zealand. Check out National Geographic’s Traveler Magazine as they showcase the wonders of the world through the roads they make.

Really changes your perspective in that ole adage called ” taking a hike.”

Road Tripper Already on Your 3rd Birthday

Road Tripper Already on Your 3rd Birthday

boy_with_truck

My, what was I doing when I was three? Sucking pacifiers, maybe? But this toddler, Demetrius Jones from British Columbia, Canada, is already setting his sights on a career in driving. How’s this for kicks: on his 3rd birthday, this little boy went out missing from a campground riding on his battery-charged toy pickup truck.

As Autoblog reports, he went as far as eight miles driving his four-wheeled ride. Two hours of searching, the boy was found floating atop of his overturned truck on Peace River unharmed. He was brought back to his parents. Then later that night, he was back at the steering wheel having fun driving within the premises of their home.

When you got cool parents like that, you can get away with everything. Even if you’re three!

Got an American Car? Eat Here!

Got an American Car? Eat Here!

If you happen to pass by just in time for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, there’s a posh resto in nearby Farmington HIlls. Tribute Restaurant kicks off its special promotion in honor of those who buy American vehicle. Dig this: as it started off a couple of days ago (January 4), owners of Ford vehicles or who happen to be working for the company will get half the price of the food they ordered in the restaurant. By the week of the show (January 11-17), it’s the turn of the Chrysler people. And by January 18-24, owners of GM will get their own discount of the delicious food Tribute has to offer. But as an infomercial says “But wait! There’s more,” the final week of the month will cater to everyone with American vehicles. Which means that you will only pay half the price for a hungry man’s meal - that is, if you have an American-made vehicle or you work for the Detroit 3. With all American cars featured that week, automotive suppliers and dealers can also avail of the special treat. ONe disclaimer: discounts apply to just the food portion of the bill at dinner or Snday brunch, with reservations being recommended. Check out Tribute Restaurant’s promo here.

Road Sister Movies for Those with the “F” Side

Road Sister Movies for Those with the “F” Side

I am not into chick flicks - especially if it’s an orgy of sheer mush and cheeziness. What do you expect? I’m a dude. Gore, violence and most especially sexuality oozing from scantily-clad women that really stimulates my senses are my typical pick-me-ups. Nah, but truth be told, what I am really after is substance. If it’s a good movie even if it talks about women bonding, feminism, and the like sthat would really catches the fancy of the ladies, then I would definitely appreciate them. But then again, I’m not hooked up into chick flicks. Haha.

Before I confuse you even further, Carsforgirls listed some of the road sister movies available along the shelves of DVD stores nearest you. Abd I’m quite satisfied upon realizing that there are some among the list that I dug. Lemme have the rundown.

1. Boys on the Side (1995)

Starring: Whoopi Goldberg, Mary-Louise Parker and Drew Barrymore

- Haven’t seen this film. But based from the synopsis online, it dealt with friendship with AIDS as the backdrop subject of the story.

2. Gone in 60 Seconds (2000)

Starring: Angelina Jolie, Nicolas Cage, Giovanni Ribisi

- Eleanor. That’s what the 1967 Shelby GT Mustang Memphis (Nicolas Cage) was named after. Lots of cars and car-chases. Wickedly shot.

3. Death Proof (2007)

Starring: Rosario Dawson, Zoe Bell and Kurt Russell

- Probably the greatest car chase (with Ronin coming in at 2nd) scene ever done.

4. American Graffiti (1973)

Starring: Cindy Williams, Mackenzie Phillips, Candy Clark, Ron Howard, Paul LeMat and Richard Dreyfuss

- I haven’t seen this film. Anyone who knows where to buy a Blue-Ray or DVD of this, please let me know. Or you may want to let me borrow your copy.

5. Thelma & Louise (1991)

Starring: Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon

- It’s women bonding ’til the death - or so I thought. I dunno. Haven’t seen this film, either.

6. Heart Like a Wheel (1983)

Starring: Bonnie Bedelia

- Now, this is what I like isnce it features the life of the legend herself, Shirley Muldowney.

7. Fast and the Furious (2001)

Starring: Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker

- Fine cars, hot ladies. And also, Michelle Rodriguez oozing with sex appeal.

8. Herbie Fully Loaded (2005)

Starring: Lindsay Lohan, Justin Long, Michael Keaton, Matt Dillon and Breckin Meyer

- ‘Nuff said. This is so sucky that it is as shallow as a drain up pond.

Have A Great Turkey Day!

Have A Great Turkey Day!

I have just arrived here at my mom’s pad in San Mateo California. I don’t know if I could still get a decent sleep considering all of my folks are here. Some sort of a reunion, I guess. So, to hell with exhaustion for now. I must mingle with everybody since it is only now that we gathered together. I better catch up things with my loved ones.

No posts for the meantime, folks. Keep your attention to the joys of Thanksgiving and spend quality time to your friends and families. Again, Happy Thanksgiving Roadtrippers!
